Notes:
- "Corridor length" means the total distance along which the pipelines and electric power
lines under study run within approximately 1000 ft of one another.
- Based on collocation involving simply pipelines and electric power lines, without
complicating elements such as nearby substations, power plants, etc. Additional time
required to complete the work will be charged in accordance with SES's fee schedule in
force at the time of the review (see attached copy for current rates).
- Actual cost may be lower or higher, depending upon the complexity of the system under
study and the soil's electrical structure in the collocation corridor. Work will be charged on
a time and materials basis, in accordance with SES's consulting fee schedule (attached). A
cost estimate will be provided before the work begins.
- This includes a review of the proposal provided by the selected consultant, a review of the
consultant's report, spot checks of the consultant's results, based on clearly indexed
electronic data files to be provided by consultant, and a letter report.
- This includes a review of the proposal provided by the selected consultant, a review of the
consultant's report, spot checks of the consultant's results, based on limited computer
modeling to be performed by SES, and a letter report.
- Includes computer modeling of collocation corridor, computation of AC interference levels
with and without mitigation, conceptual design of mitigation system, and letter report. Also
includes support in making soil resistivity measurements, specifications for the
measurements, and interpretation of data, but does not include any field work, which is
normally done by others (SES can also do this work if this is preferred). Also includes data
requests and review of data, but the data is to be compiled and collected by the pipeline and
electric power system companies.
- All above fees are in US dollars, exclusive of any applicable taxes.
